Narrative:
Helicopter was working closed pattern on runway 19L and was cleared for the option. Twin cessna sequenced number two following the helicopter and cleared to land. The asde-X alarmed when the twin cessna was touching down at the approach end of runway 19L. The helicopter was upwind past the departure end of runway 19L. I did not send the twin cessna around because he was already on the runway when the alarm went off. In my judgment it would not have been safe to send the twin cessna around since he had already landed and the runway is only 2850 ft and there was no loss of separation. I would classify this as a nuisance alert. Recommendation; have the option to make judgment calls on situations like this. There are pros and cons to asde-X. We have just started using it and this is the first time I have felt that if I would have sent the aircraft around it could of caused a very serious accident. I was aware of all the traffic and made a decision that I believe was the best.
