Narrative:
We were cleared for a visual approach to runway 35. We were turned in close and high. We lined up for runway 34R at slc. Tower called 3 miles out to advise that were lined up for 34R and asked if we would still like to land on 34R or 35. We were too close to make the turn for 35 and were cleared to land on 34R. We landed uneventfully.
