Narrative:
FMGC was auto tuning and auto tuned the wrong localizer frequency (109.9 vs 110.90). Runway 12R was correct and the box was current. Did a go around and had to manually tune the localizer on the rad navigation page. Weather was moderate rain cells and night IFR. We needed an approach and yet the automation failed us.

Title: A320 pilot reports the FMGC auto tuning the wrong ILS frequency for the ILS Runway 12R at SAT. The correct frequency is then manually tuned on the RAD NAV page and a normal landing ensues.
