Narrative:
We were told to slow to minimum approach speed due to traffic ahead. The first officer called for gear down; final descent checklist; followed shortly by a call for flaps 25. I checked that the speed was ok for flaps 25 and selected the flap lever to 25. We got a warning horn due to the nose gear not being down and locked yet. I returned the flaps to 20 the nose gear then showed down and locked and I reselected 25. At that point we got a leading edge and trailing edge disagree EICAS and amber lights on the forward panel. Flaps and slats were now locked at 20; we were about five miles from the outer marker and decided to land with flaps 20 instead of going around and holding somewhere to try and restore the flaps in the high traffic airport area with thunderstorms moving through the area. We made normal flaps 20 landing and taxied to the gate with the flaps at 20. When we changed power sources the disagree lights went out. We called maintenance control and reported the event; which was written up for maintenance to look at on the night shift.
