Narrative:
Departing lga runway 13 cleared whitestone climb maintain 5000'. Turned to 175 degree and contacted departure at 1000'. Departure cleared us to maintain 15000', and we continued the whitestone climb, turning left to 040 degree at 1500' MSL. In the turn we noted an medium large transport Y at 12:30 O'clock crossing right to left at an altitude of between 5 and 6 thousand MSL. Unable to tell if he was climbing or descending. We passed behind him approximately 1/2 mile. His heading was approximately 330 degree. There was no separation provided if the medium large transport Y was IFR if our turn had been tighter or climb rate faster there was potential for conflict. This was reported to ny departure upon landing at driver. Their investigation is unknown at this time.

Title: MLG ON WITHESTONE CLIMB OFF LGA SAW ANOTHER MLG PASS FROM RIGHT TO LEFT APPROX ONE HALF MILE AWAY, NO TRAFFIC ADVISORY AND UNABLE TO TELL IF ACFT CLIMBING OR DESCENDING.
Narrative: DEPARTING LGA RWY 13 CLRED WHITESTONE CLIMB MAINTAIN 5000'. TURNED TO 175 DEG AND CONTACTED DEP AT 1000'. DEP CLRED US TO MAINTAIN 15000', AND WE CONTINUED THE WHITESTONE CLIMB, TURNING LEFT TO 040 DEG AT 1500' MSL. IN THE TURN WE NOTED AN MLG Y AT 12:30 O'CLOCK XING RIGHT TO LEFT AT AN ALT OF BETWEEN 5 AND 6 THOUSAND MSL. UNABLE TO TELL IF HE WAS CLIMBING OR DESCENDING. WE PASSED BEHIND HIM APPROX 1/2 MILE. HIS HEADING WAS APPROX 330 DEG. THERE WAS NO SEPARATION PROVIDED IF THE MLG Y WAS IFR IF OUR TURN HAD BEEN TIGHTER OR CLIMB RATE FASTER THERE WAS POTENTIAL FOR CONFLICT. THIS WAS REPORTED TO NY DEP UPON LNDG AT DRIVER. THEIR INVESTIGATION IS UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME.
