Narrative:
As we lowered the flaps to 25; the 'te disagree' message appeared and the flaps stayed at 20. The captain decided to continue and we got the 'too low flaps' warning and went around. The flaps did not leave 20 when we tried to go to 15 on go around. We performed the 'te disagree' checklist and used alternate flap extension to lower the flaps to 30. The landing was without incident.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B757 crew reported a TE Disagree EICAS message while lowering flaps to 25 on approach. The flaps failed to retract when 5 was selected on the go around. Following the checklist the crew lowered the flaps to 30 and completed a normal landing without declaring an emergency.
