Anomaly | Deviation - Procedural Clearance Ground Incursion Runway |
Narrative:
Flagler ground control cleared me to taxi to runway 24 via taxiway alfa from the ramp. As I neared a hold short line; I strained to read the runway sign and finally was able to make it out to read '29-11' so I continued taxiing to runway 24. As I continued I realized I was on runway 24; which began at the same point as runway 29; and alerted ground control I was on the runway and they handed me off to the tower. I was cleared for takeoff and did not hear anything else of the incident; but I wanted to report this because of the poorly-lit runway lighting signs at the intersections of runway 29 and taxiway alfa at xfl. I feel this could present a safety issue and possibly a runway incursion if not taken care of soon.
