Narrative:
Turned to wrong heading after takeoff and was confused with SID maybe entering a restricted airspace. Controller let us know we needed to make a turn the other direction which we complied with. This airplane has electronic charts; normally I use paper and was not able to see the full page. PIC only pulled up the text description at the bottom of the chart. I put in the correct radial for the departure but in my mind was planning a turn in the wrong direction. These charts are okay but they don't display the whole chart if you enlarge the printing to a readable size. To prevent this from happening again I will do my best to find paper plates or review the expected departures before entering the airplane.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B200 flight crew suffered a track deviation on the SID from HEF due largely to a failure to review the entire document as a result of limitation of their Electronic Flight Bag display.
