Narrative:
After pushback the EICAS 'stab greenband' momentarily appeared during engine start then went away. We taxied away and got same annunciation then it disappeared again. The taxi line was long and we got the stab annunciation. Once again; this time the captain applied braking and the annunciation disappeared yet again. After the final appearance of the stab annunciation we got out the irregular procedures checklist and ran it because this time the annunciation remained in view. The checklist did not clear the EICAS so we delayed takeoff and called ual sam via satcom and dispatch. We received MEL info and sticker numbers to apply in the cockpit. (MEL 2748D and sticker no. 11) by this time a long line of aircraft were waiting behind us and we still needed to restart and complete the takeoff checklist. This lead to being rushed and we took off without receiving a new mrd.
