Narrative:
While descending through FL200 we experienced an engine failure of the left engine. Power was at idle for the descent; so yaw was minimal. We advised the cabin crew and ATC and declared an emergency. We ran the appropriate checklist and decided to attempt an inflight engine restart. We continued the descent down to 7000ft; at which time the restart was a success.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A B757 engine flamed out during descent because of a low pressure fuel pump failure. An emergency was declared. At 7;000' the engine was successfully restarted and a normal approach completed at the filed destination.
