Narrative:
On final approach we had ECAM F/control slats fault/locked. ECAM message displayed 'do not exceed speed...' of which we were far below. A moment later this message disappeared. Meanwhile flaps 2 was selected and message appeared again. We continued approach to landing with higher airspeed; [the] second page of ECAM was never observed due to flap extension. The only ECAM message observed was 'do not exceed speed....' landing was normal with the higher speed.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An A319 Captain reported that on short final ECAM alerted F/CTL SLATS FAULT/LOCKED. With Flaps 2 selected the crew increased approach speed and continued to a normal landing at a higher speed.
