Narrative:

On takeoff roll crew hatch come open. We aborted takeoff with no problem. As we taxied back the captain, PIC, in the right seat lost left brake. While making a left turn heading for the runway, co-captain in left seat was talking to tower for takeoff clearance and did not hear the call to take over until several seconds later. Intercom is inoperative when transmitting on the radios. The co-captain proceeded to take evasive action to miss the taxi lights. Hit light and damaged the right propeller. FAA is investigating. There was a previous write up in logbook that morning by same crew. This matter was supposedly corrected and signed off.
