Narrative:
During cruise at FL390; the lower display unit indicated oil quantity of 3 quarts. By the time we executed the non-normal checklist; oil quantity dropped to 2 quarts. Called dispatch and maintenance on the telephone and maintenance advised us to continue. Oil quantity dropped to 1 quart and crew elected to divert. Uneventful; overweight landing was made.
