Narrative:

Inadvertently looked at procedures for MEL 36-11-07-a when MEL 36-11-07-b is what I was clearing condition for. 'A' does not lock hp (high pressure) valve in 'closed' position. Condition 'B' does lock hp valve 'closed;' which led to me allowing an airbus A320 to fly with hp valve locked out (closed).contract maintenance noticed valve in closed position. I was the last one to do maintenance on system I believe this was the aircraft's first flight since maintenance. I did not look close enough at MEL. Contract maintenance unlocked (opened) valve. My supervisor informed me of my mistake and issued me a performance report. My suggestions [would be] to take my time.
