Narrative:
After initial application of takeoff power it was noted that number 2 engine was not producing very much power. N2 went over 105% briefly. I aborted the takeoff at approximately 40-50 knots. The toga button was never pushed. We contacted dispatch did some trouble shooting with maintenance on the line then returned to the gate. Flight was later rescheduled for the next day then eventually canceled.
