Narrative:
As [we were] approaching spot 2; we noticed [another aircraft] was taxiing at a very fast speed to spot 2. [The other aircraft] was approximately at our 4 o'clock position; we both were approaching spot 2 when it became apparent that the other aircraft was not going to yield to our aircraft. We stopped about 30 feet short of spot 2 to allow [the other aircraft] access to spot 2. [The other aircraft] passed within 20 feet of the nose of our aircraft at an abnormally high rate of speed. In my judgment if we had not yielded; he would not have been able to stop or maneuver the aircraft before hitting our aircraft. We contacted ramp to ensure that we had the correct instructions that [the other aircraft] was suppose to follow us to spot 2 and ramp confirmed that our instructions were correct.
