Air carrier taxiing to runway 8L at hnl was cleared to cross runway 4R but noted light twin traffic ...

Narrative:

We were taxiing out to runway 08L in hnl. We were told by ground control to taxi to 08L via delta; bravo; tango; hold short of runway 04R. Approaching 04R; we were told to contact tower. We contacted tower and he cleared us across 04R and 04L. While we were approaching 04R; I scanned to my left and noticed a aircraft turning a short final. I stopped the aircraft before the hold short line for runway 04R. I immediately told my first officer to call the tower about this traffic. The first officer told the tower we were holding short of runway 04R for landing traffic. The tower's response was roger-hold short. The aircraft that landed on 04R was a light twin. The remainder of the taxi and flight was uneventful. There was a lot of military traffic taking off from runway 08L; this could have been a factor that distracted the tower controller.
