Narrative:
Southbound approximately 80 NM north of atl at FL290, the #2 fire warning activated. Engine was shut down in accordance with emergency procedures and the flight diverted into atl hartsfield airport west/O further incident. To the best of my knowledge the warning was a false indication, but procedures required an immediate landing, which I did.
