Narrative:
An air carrier was southwest bound via direct mol at FL200. I was unaware that the guard dog airspace was active. When the air carrier entered my airspace; I climbed the aircraft through guard dog. Recommendation; have the supervisor notify all affected sectors when military airspace goes active.

Title: ZDC Controller described an airspace incursion when he/she was not notified of military airspace activation.
Narrative: An Air Carrier was southwest bound via direct MOL at FL200. I was unaware that the Guard Dog airspace was active. When the Air Carrier entered my airspace; I climbed the aircraft through Guard Dog. Recommendation; have the supervisor notify all affected sectors when military airspace goes active.
