Narrative:
On initial contact I issued a C421 a clearance direct to aex which was on his flight plan. I did not ensure this information was in the system and 2 sectors later he violated restricted airspace. Because the two sectors thought he was on the flight plan; (direct mei..aex) they assumed he was going to be clear of the restricted area. Recommendation: ensure that the flight plan in the system is matching what the aircraft is actually flying.

Title: ZTL Controller described an airspace incursion when he/she failed to update route data information in the system.
Narrative: On initial contact I issued a C421 a clearance direct to AEX which was on his Flight Plan. I did not ensure this information was in the system and 2 sectors later he violated restricted airspace. Because the two sectors thought he was on the Flight Plan; (direct MEI..AEX) they assumed he was going to be clear of the restricted area. Recommendation: ensure that the Flight Plan in the system is matching what the aircraft is actually flying.
