Narrative:
Departing anc on runway 06L at XA53 local. Our clearance was to fly the anc 9 SID after takeoff. Just after takeoff the second officer called out traffic at 11 O'clock. Our altitude was approximately 700'. I saw a blue over white small aircraft at 11 O'clock, just above our altitude. The first officer asked departure control if he had the traffic on radar. He said he did not, but the small aircraft had most likely departed from lake hood. Our heading was 065 degrees, estimated heading of small aircraft was 080 degrees, closing on us. At the 9 DME fix of the anc VOR, we started a right turn to heading 190 degrees per the SID. At that point we were at the same altitude as the small aircraft and approximately 50 yds from him. After we started our right turn, the PF the small aircraft must have seen us as he started a hard left turn. This situation occurred in my opinion due to the large # of small aircraft that fly in very close proximity of anc. Altitude readout transponders are needed on all small aircraft.

Title: NMAC WITH SMA DEPARTING ADJACENT FAC, NO TRAFFIC ADVISORY GIVEN.
Narrative: DEPARTING ANC ON RWY 06L AT XA53 LCL. OUR CLRNC WAS TO FLY THE ANC 9 SID AFTER TKOF. JUST AFTER TKOF THE S/O CALLED OUT TFC AT 11 O'CLOCK. OUR ALT WAS APPROX 700'. I SAW A BLUE OVER WHITE SMA AT 11 O'CLOCK, JUST ABOVE OUR ALT. THE F/O ASKED DEP CTL IF HE HAD THE TFC ON RADAR. HE SAID HE DID NOT, BUT THE SMA HAD MOST LIKELY DEPARTED FROM LAKE HOOD. OUR HDG WAS 065 DEGS, ESTIMATED HDG OF SMA WAS 080 DEGS, CLOSING ON US. AT THE 9 DME FIX OF THE ANC VOR, WE STARTED A RIGHT TURN TO HDG 190 DEGS PER THE SID. AT THAT POINT WE WERE AT THE SAME ALT AS THE SMA AND APPROX 50 YDS FROM HIM. AFTER WE STARTED OUR RIGHT TURN, THE PF THE SMA MUST HAVE SEEN US AS HE STARTED A HARD LEFT TURN. THIS SITUATION OCCURRED IN MY OPINION DUE TO THE LARGE # OF SMALL ACFT THAT FLY IN VERY CLOSE PROX OF ANC. ALT READOUT TRANSPONDERS ARE NEEDED ON ALL SMALL ACFT.
