Narrative:
During takeoff ECAM warning of eng# 2 control valve fault. N2 limit to 86%. We leveled off and advised departure and communicated with operations; phone patched to dispatch and maintenance to confer. All engine parameters were normal. After about 10 minutes maintenance said there was a history on the aircraft and we should return. Landed overweight at 183;900 pounds with a very light touchdown and vertical speed less than 50 FPM.

Title: A321 Captain experienced an ENG 2 CTL Valve Fault ECAM during takeoff. Maintenance advised that the aircraft has a history and the crew returned for an overweight landing.
