Narrative:
I was taxiing for takeoff. Was assigned runway 18 via taxiway lima; delta; sierra. No conflicts involved. Airport under construction. This part of sierra is new and not shown on any current charts. This was my first use of sierra and I was unfamiliar with [the] holding intersection. Searching for the run up area; nosed over hold short before coming to a complete stop. Was then informed that there is no run-up area; one must use hold short line. Solution: 1. Taxi slower; I am always overly concerned about holding up pilots behind me. Need to be concerned about my plane first and forget about anyone behind me. 2. Query ground about run up or anything else before starting taxiing. 3. Most importantly; make 'hold short' a priority over anything else.
