Narrative:
We held short at new 36L and got our IFR void time. Before taxing onto the runway we announced our intentions on CTAF and lined up on the runway. We turned on all landing/taxi recognition lights and again announced our departure intentions on 36L before we started to roll. At no time did we hear any other traffic response. The runway was clear. Approaching V1 we noticed lights from a pickup truck coming at us from the departure end of the runway. The truck was in the center of the runway then angled to our left off to the side (west side) of the runway. We continued our takeoff as a high speed abort on the runway would have put us in a closer conflict. We contacted departure and informed them of the situation. They requested a call when we get on the ground. Upon contact the controller told us the pickup driver said he was in the clear zone on our departure. We informed him that was incorrect. He may have gotten to the clear zone as we passed overhead but he was on an active runway with a departing aircraft on the roll and not listening or transmitting his position or intentions.
