Narrative:
After level off; observed steady decreasing left hydraulic quantity. Discussed situation with maintenance and dispatch via satcom. Declared emergency; dumped fuel and diverted to our departure airport. Due to dump system design we still were over maximum landing weight after dump. Made required log book entries; reports to dispatch.

Title: A B767-300's EICAS alerted LT HYD QTY LOW after level off in cruise. An emergency was declared and the aircraft returned to the departure airport.
