Narrative:
Landed on the right runway; exited tango to hold short of the left runway. Shut down engine #2 and held 3 minutes between runways. When cleared to cross the left runway released parking brake; brake pressure 0; and added power on #1 engine. Airplane veered left and skidded. Felt like left brake was grabbing. I stopped airplane; set parking brake. Airplane was over the hold short line for the left runway. Tower informed of the problem. Aircraft on short final was sent around. Recleared to cross the left runway; released parking brake; added power and operations [were] normal. Taxied to gate with no further problems. Maintenance notified.

Title: After landing and holding between runways waiting taxi clearance to the gate; the Captain released the A320's brakes and the aircraft veered and skidded sharply left because of a severely grabbing brake. The brake released after the parking brake was set and released again.
