Narrative:

Departed with 5 passengers. Aircraft had just come out of maintenance (previous ferry leg) for a fuel filter bypass repair. The original failure occurred the previous day with another crew. During climbout we experienced; initially; a right fuel bypass and soon thereafter a left fuel bypass annunciation. This indicated that uncommanded engine shutdown may be imminent.checklist completion directed flight crew to land as soon as possible. We turned our nose toward ZZZ for most support capability. During landing performance computations; it was discovered that our landing at ZZZ was going to be overweight. After some discussion about potential risk factors; we decided that a 300 pounds overweight exceedence would be a controlled risk without great consequence. This of course; considering the potential impending engine flameout. The landing and subsequent taxi occurred uneventfully. There was no harm to occupants or aircraft.
