Narrative:

An E190 was vectored to the final runway 16R at den. The runway was issued and the aircraft saw the runway. The E190 was turned to a 140 degree heading direct jetson and cleared for the visual approach. The E190 was issued traffic for the parallel runway; a CRJ2. The response was 'looking'. The parallel traffic was on a 200 heading to join and cleared for the visual approach and issued the traffic for 16R. The E190 advised the traffic in sight and was told to maintain visual separation which was acknowledged. Both aircraft were transfered to the tower. One half mile inside the marker a low altitude (la) was observed on the E190 and relayed to the tower. I later learned this was due to an RA on traffic they had in sight. I think the 30 degree intercept might have been a bit tight and also a response to an RA that close to the airport and with the parallel traffic in sight is a concern. Recommendation: follow SOP's and try to convey to the user that at den with the proximity of 16L and 16R that TA mode with TCAS is probably the better option than RA mode.

Title: D01 Controller described a combination TCAS RA and Low Altitude Alert (LA) event that involved two aircraft on parallel Runways 16R/16L approaches; noting utilization of TA vs RA mode would accommodate operation better.
