Narrative:
Taxing from our gate at ord to runway 32L at T10; instructions were: 'taxi west on hotel; bravo; alpha 7; tango; T10'. Started taxing on H; but was very cautious when approaching the A1 high speed turnoff from runway 27L. Earlier this year I was almost hit in the exact same location; and filled out a report for that incident as well. I asked my first officer to check for traffic landing 27L; but it was impossible to see because they were landing behind us. I was taxing slowly so I could stop the aircraft if he saw a plane leaving the runway at A1. Sure enough; just prior to us getting to the A1 intersection; the ground controller came on and ordered us to immediately stop the aircraft. About 10 seconds later; just as we would be in the intersection; a crj exited the runway going around 30 KTS directly in front of us. Were it not because of the previous experience and the quick responses of the controllers; we would more than likely have been in a collision.when ord is landing 27L make a mandatory hold short line on taxiway H for west bound aircraft taxing to taxiway B. Also issue a memo to all crews detailing this trouble area until permanent measures are put into place.

Title: EMB170 Captain reports a ground conflict between his aircraft; west bound on Taxiway H at ORD; and an aircraft exiting Runway 27L at the A1 high speed exit. A timely stop issued by Ground Control prevented a possible collision.
