Narrative:
Lowered the landing gear three miles prior to the FAF and got an unsafe gear indication on right main landing gear. Notified tower of gear malfunction and initiated go around. Captain elected to leave gear down during go around. About two minutes after lowering gear; indications finally showed right main landing gear down and locked. Flight crew elected to leave gear down and returned to land uneventfully.

Title: An A319 flight crew initiated a go around when the right main gear failed to indicate safe. Shortly thereafter the gear safe light illuminated and a normal approach and landing ensued.
Narrative: Lowered the landing gear three miles prior to the FAF and got an unsafe gear indication on right main landing gear. Notified Tower of gear malfunction and initiated go around.
