Narrative:
Parked parallel with terminal waiting; as always; for a guideman. When the guideman arrived he turned on lights and I pushed up power to make the 90 degree turn into the gate. Out of my left eye here comes a ramper on a tug headed straight toward left engine in the roadway. Instead of stopping he swerves out to the left around left engine and nosewheel; out of roadway and passes in front of aircraft as we come to abrupt halt. He continues on in the distance with his middle finger up in the air for all the passengers to observe; both in the terminal and the aircraft. This is not the first time I have filed a report on this type of activity on the ramp at ord.

Title: A B757-200 Captain had to brake abruptly while maneuvering to park when a tug passed closely in front of the moving aircraft with the driver making an obscene gesture rather than stopping as required.
