Narrative:
While on approach; we completed the before landing checklist; and configured the aircraft for landing; I noticed a unsafe gear indication. We executed a missed approach and climbed to to the north. Once level; we cycled the gear; and confirmed it was down and locked via a secondary manual indicator in the aircraft. We landed uneventfully; and all systems indicated normal.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: M20 pilot reports unsafe gear indication after extending the gear during approach and goes around. After cycling the gear handle and viewing mechanical gear indicators; it is determined that the gear is safe and a normal landing ensues.
