Narrative:
I made a radio call on CTAF to hover taxi to heli-spot #2 for south departure. Upon reaching heli-spot #2 I made right/west and left/east clearing turn and observed a taxing king air near the approach end of runway 09R run up area. (King air is now 2;000 ft behind me) I announced my intentions on CTAF 122.7; 'aircraft X departing helispot #2; east over delta taxiway with right turn over the numbers; south for the ponds.' after taking off east; then beginning to turn south/right over the runway numbers (approach end of 27 parallels) I noticed the fixed wing (king air) had rotated on runway 09R and was climbing. I slowed my airspeed back (decelerated slightly) and continued south after visually ensuring I was clear. The king air continued to climb with left roll and radioed 'real nice guys'. I did not hear the king air pilot announce he was taking the runway. I did not hear the king air pilot make take off / departure; on the roll call. Pilot of the king air stated over CTAF that he made a taking the runway for take off call. The runway was unoccupied during my clearing turns at helispot #2. It appears one of us stepped on the other while stating takeoff intentions. The helo was in front of the king air approximately 2;000 ft east on the taxi way near helo parking.

Title: Helicopter pilot departing BVU from Helospot two reports NMAC with a King Air departing Runway 9R. Both pilots had apparently announced their intentions on CTAF but neither heard the other.
