Narrative:
[I] broke out from ILS approach circle to land opposing runway. [I] was instructed to circle left traffic. Circled left traffic on downwind tcad alerted 'traffic; traffic' passenger in right [seat] said 'traffic'; tower controller said 'I mean right traffic!!!!; now!'. Circled right traffic and landed. Controller called FBO and wanted to see how we were doing and stated that it 'was not as bad as it seemed as we really missed by 300 ft vertically.

Narrative: [I] broke out from ILS approach circle to land opposing runway. [I] was instructed to circle left traffic. Circled left traffic on downwind TCAD alerted 'traffic; traffic' passenger in right [seat] said 'traffic'; Tower Controller said 'I mean right traffic!!!!; now!'. Circled right traffic and landed.
