Narrative:
I was in a brake steered airplane; taxiing to the runway when my right brake line broke. I was unable to steer it and went off the taxiway hitting plastic tubing sticking up from the ground. I managed to get back on the taxiway and discovered that both brakes were not working. I pulled off all power but was unable to stop or steer and went off the taxiway hitting the taxi light. I came to a complete stop at the bottom of a small hill on the edge of the taxiway. There was not any damage to the prop; but the nose wheel pant was damaged as well as the underside of the left wing. It has been a known problem with the brake lines in these planes. Brake fluid was visible on the wheel pant.
