Narrative:
Noticed smoke in main cabin around row 12 to the aft of the aircraft. The video recorder shut off. Notified the captain and he stated we were going to divert into a nearby airport. Aircraft was taken out of service at that time. Fire department met the aircraft upon arrival.

Title: A B757-200's video player turned off in flight at about the same time as a Flight Attendant noticed smoke in the main cabin near row 12 and aft. The flight diverted to an enroute airport and was taken out of service.
Narrative: Noticed smoke in main cabin around row 12 to the aft of the aircraft. The video recorder shut off. Notified the Captain and he stated we were going to divert into a nearby airport. Aircraft was taken out of service at that time. Fire Department met the aircraft upon arrival.
