Narrative:
I was cleared to land. The approach was normal; with full flaps and approximately 90 KTS on final. There was a light crosswind from the left. The landing seemed normal; and shortly after touchdown I started to apply moderate braking. Almost immediately the airplane veered hard to the left. Fearing the airplane was going to depart the runway; I increased the brake pressure and applied right rudder. The plane came to a stop on the runway. I do not believe that I landed with the brakes applied; or that I locked the brakes after landing.
