Narrative:
[I was on a] pleasure flight with a friend. On the return leg I pulled power to get down on the deck of a large lake. It is about 5 miles long or longer. At about 10 ft AGL I pushed power in and the plane did not respond. I think I pulled and pushed the throttle trying to get power. I flared quite nicely and it seemed good until the gear dug into the snow and flipped the clipper over on her roof. Hind sight seems very clear here. I made bad decisions and they cost me my plane and a whole lot of confidence. I feel very glad that there were no injuries. I will out live the embarrassment and will think a long time about the situation and my decision making skills.
