Narrative:
Departed from sna VFR to smo. Just forgot about the arsa. It dawned on me passing 2800'. The floor of the arsa is 2500. I was 1/2 mi or less from the outer limits of the arsa. I immediately descended to 2500' and exited the arsa. I believe I was in the arsa 15 seconds or so. I usually don't fly into sna VFR and just forgot about the arsa being there. I don't know how to prevent it. I am a flight instructor and usually do not make that kind of mistake. I was returning from a board meeting of an organization I belong to, and might have been preoccupied with the meeting. However, this usually does not happen to me.
