Narrative:
On climbout the gear would not come up. We ran the QRH and returned to ZZZ for an uneventful landing. When we arrived in ZZZ; we wrote up that the pseu light was on after landing. On the flight prior to this one; we had an intermittent horn come on descending through 10;000 feet when I pulled the throttles to idle. It came on again when we lowered the flaps. We ran the QRH. We got the pseu light on after landing. We wrote this up and got MEL 32-17 added to our flight. I asked maintenance about the fault codes and was told we had a spoiler valve sensor issue. Dispatch and I both asked what section of the MEL we were under. They said the first one. I am giving you this information for information purposes. We did not declare an emergency. I landed the flight with the gear problem.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: B737-700 flight crew experienced an intermittent takeoff/cabin altitude warning horn during descent for landing. After landing the PSEU [Proximity Switch Electronic Unit] warning light is illuminated and is subsequently MEL'ed by Maintenance. On the next takeoff the gear will not retract.
