Narrative:
After servicing left-hand air cycle machine (acm) per a jobcard; I inadvertently left the acm service container somewhere in the aft bay area; not realizing I had done so; a lapse in memory. The oil can is a brown color and may have blended in with the equipment in the aft area. The three light assemblies were in good working order. The lighting is not the best. But this is not an excuse. I just missed removing the oil can when I finished the task. ZZZ maintenance removed item when found. [My suggestion is] to take your time when finishing a task to ensure all tools and related servicing equipment prior to closing out any task that is done. Double or even triple check or get a second set of eyes if you are unsure.
