Narrative:
Mechanic Y and I started the work card. When attempting to remove the spoiler locks we were unable to remove them because they were jammed. I tried the manual release cam to remove [hydraulic] pressure unsuccessfully. We proceeded with the [work card] sequence. Prior to turning hydraulics on; I announced hydraulics were coming on in hangar bay. I went into the cockpit and turned the left; right and center system hydraulics on; in order to pressurize the spoilers and release the locks. I heard a loud noise and immediately turned hydraulics off.
