Narrative:
[I was] cleared to pushback. Aircraft was situated nose east on juliet with aircraft nose on centerline of juliet and K-3 yellow taxi lines. (Pushback crew advised they could not push us further west on juliet due to traffic.) as pushback crew was detaching from aircraft; a B737 that had been holding short of K-3 on kilo decided to enter the ramp. As there was not enough clearance with us essentially blocking access to juliet; the B737 had to taxi between the yellow taxi line and taxiway edge. The left wingtip came dangerously close to our aircraft and overhead of the pushback crew and tug. I fully understand the need for on time performance but safety must still be the priority.
