Narrative:
I was working an aircraft that was on an acquired track; climbing from ZME airspace to ZTL airspace and appeared to have handed off to ZTL; but was not the case and the aircraft entered ZTL airspace. The aircraft automation failed from ZME to ZTL with no notification or failed track to let me know that no hand off occurred. ZTL called to ask about the aircraft and said that they had been watching. Recommendation; evaluate the automation between ZME and ZTL.
