Narrative:
Working deferred item (DF); found wire to parking brake pressure switch broken from cannon plug. Placed ladder near right wheel well; repaired wire; reconnected cannon plug; went up to flight deck to accomplish cockpit voice recorder (cvr) test. Came back down to remove tools and ladder. A320 aircraft was resting on ladder. Removed ladder; found damage to lip of right wheel well after opening that showed cracks in the fairing.

Title: A Line Avionics Mechanic reports finding an electrical ground wire for the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) shredded and broken on a cannon plug at the parking brake pressure switch in the right wheel well of an A320 aircraft.
Narrative: Working Deferred Item (DF); found wire to Parking Brake Pressure Switch broken from cannon plug. Placed ladder near right wheel well; repaired wire; reconnected cannon plug; went up to flight deck to accomplish Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) Test. Came back down to remove tools and ladder.
