Title: A CE-750 flight was canceled after the flight crew responded to a hot start of the left engine.
Narrative: During Number 1 engine start; crew recognized engine hanging at approximately 46% N1 with ITT near 400 degrees. Fuel control moved to cutoff and ITT spiked at 950 degrees. [We] complied with high ITT Start checklist.
