Narrative:
At tyler pounds field; both runway 13 and 17 share the same departure end and taxiway access. [I] simply took the runway and lined up on the centerline without checking direction. Tower did not make any advisory calls. After takeoff; tower asked me to make a left rather than right turn on course to assist them. We apologized for taking off on wrong runway.

Title: A pilot departed on TYR Runway 13 although he was cleared to takeoff on Runway 17 because he failed to check his heading at the runway's common start point.
