Narrative:
After departing on runway xx we experienced an inverter #1 failure accompanied by an AC fail annunciator triggering a master warning. Pilot not flying notified ATC of our request to return back to the departure airport. A new clearance was issued an an uneventful landing was made to runway xx. Flight crew did not accept any emergency handling by ATC.

Title: A CE560's inverter #1 failed after takeoff so the crew returned to land but did not declare an emergency.
Narrative: After departing on Runway XX we experienced an Inverter #1 failure accompanied by an AC fail annunciator triggering a Master Warning. Pilot not Flying notified ATC of our request to return back to the departure airport. A new clearance was issued an an uneventful landing was made to Runway XX.
