Narrative:

After landing at grr, F/a complained of a hurt back as a result of a hard landing. She stated that she was applying for occupational sick leave after returning to ord. WX was VFR, light winds. Approach was stable at 5000', T/D was firm with no bounce, rollout was normal. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: captain said that other F/a's and rest of crew did not think the landing was hard. He said he was still on high minimums with about 50 hours in the aircraft. He said that the F/a involved took herself off sick leave the following day. He said that his flight manager had told his first officer that the company was going to pull the tapes to determine if there had been a hard landing. He said that he had contacted his association legal department and they had suggested he file this report. He said he has heard nothing since the incident although they did remove him from schedule for 1 trip.

Title: FA ACCUSED CAPT OF HARD LNDG AND COMPLAINED OF INJURED BACK.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT GRR, F/A COMPLAINED OF A HURT BACK AS A RESULT OF A HARD LNDG. SHE STATED THAT SHE WAS APPLYING FOR OCCUPATIONAL SICK LEAVE AFTER RETURNING TO ORD. WX WAS VFR, LIGHT WINDS. APCH WAS STABLE AT 5000', T/D WAS FIRM WITH NO BOUNCE, ROLLOUT WAS NORMAL. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: CAPT SAID THAT OTHER F/A'S AND REST OF CREW DID NOT THINK THE LNDG WAS HARD. HE SAID HE WAS STILL ON HIGH MINIMUMS WITH ABOUT 50 HRS IN THE ACFT. HE SAID THAT THE F/A INVOLVED TOOK HERSELF OFF SICK LEAVE THE FOLLOWING DAY. HE SAID THAT HIS FLT MGR HAD TOLD HIS F/O THAT THE COMPANY WAS GOING TO PULL THE TAPES TO DETERMINE IF THERE HAD BEEN A HARD LNDG. HE SAID THAT HE HAD CONTACTED HIS ASSOCIATION LEGAL DEPT AND THEY HAD SUGGESTED HE FILE THIS REPORT. HE SAID HE HAS HEARD NOTHING SINCE THE INCIDENT ALTHOUGH THEY DID REMOVE HIM FROM SCHEDULE FOR 1 TRIP.
