Narrative:
Just prior to descent; we observed an 'left 14TH duct' warning message. [We] complied with QRH. This required us to pull the left engine to idle to extinguish the message. We declared an emergency and executed an uneventful flaps 20 landing to the runway at our destination. After nose wheel touchdown; maximum reverse thrust was used on the right engine. Rudder and nose wheel steering provided adequate directional control. The yawing moment from the asymmetric thrust was almost unnoticeable.
